Alexander Jansson, born 1977, is a contemporary freelance surrealist artist and illustrator born in Uppsala, Sweden.
Alexander has been active as a freelance illustrator since 2008.
He studied painting at Domen Art School in Gothenburg and 3D animation at the Steneby School in Dals Långed.
Among things, the artist has illustrated an anthology with works by Robert L. Stevenson, some covers for the Spanish editions of Johan Theorin’s books, a billboard for The Nutcracker ballet in New York as well as the new edition of Anne E. Neimark’s book "Mythmaker: The life of JRR Tolkien".
In 2020 he was awarded the Elsa Beskow plaque for his illustration in the book "Tassemarker".
Alexander lives and works in Gothenburg. Specializes in illustration, character design, concept art and graphic design.
