Social security taxes come out of my paycheck to pay for people on social security currently. They paid in for the previous generation and are getting something, albeit diminished in terms of purchasing power. We will get nothing. I don’t understand what you’re arguing.

The social security being taken from you currently is for future recipients, not current.
At least, that was their plan.
It’s supposed to be for us, later, but it’s a Ponzi scheme repaying the prior generations for their contribution to the ponzi. The music will stop one day. Most likely when we are supposed to collect “what we contributed”. If they are still able to extract wealth from our kids and grandkids, then they’ll be able to pay us, but that’s not fair to them. The current generation of taxpayers is always unfairly burdened with paying exponentially more than the prior one to keep the scam that is social security, afloat.
