Did you know that deep down toxic narcissists are really insecure and they use their narcissism to try to make YOU feel insecure to control and feel powerful themselves? That’s too bad. I knew this person once that I thought if I explained myself that they would get it or understand me better and then I figured out I was actually the one in my right mind and I was being manipulated in a horrific way. Yeah, this is true. They lack the capacity for empathy or taking any kind of responsibility. It’s something that once it reveals itself I want nothing to do with it.
And it’s so brutal when you suddenly realize they never cared about you it was always a game in their heads or something that they were playing with you, but that’s not what’s going on in your head and so you’re not thinking well this person’s really just trying to hurt me to please themselves. When that realization kicks in, especially if you are an empathetic person, it almost makes me laugh. It’s just so gross.
Can't help but wonder, do we all have those tendencies, but as we grow and explore life, we develop whichever has resulted a better socializing mechanism?
Cuz I feel like some folks who are like that were allowed to mature that way... they got feedback, tested waters and kept going...
There’s always a little bit of narcissism in all of us, but then there’s the narcissist to pretend to worship you and hooks you in makes you feel great about yourself and then they flip the switch. It’s a really twisted game and it makes me laugh cause it’s like so Pathetic. Yeah periodically we can do things as humans all of us but it’s if that’s your MO all the time? Well you’re gonna see that person has no close friends. They have very little in terms of intimate and close relationships ever.
