I am happy to announce the release of a new #signet case (and more colors)! All the same hardware inside, it's just a new look.

There are a couple slight variations:

- snap together vs screw together, and

- I have one without a keyloop

What do you think? Prefer the cleaner look to the more functional option of having a keyloop? Want other colors? Let me know.

More pics are available on the Artisans Cooperative's store:

I'm going to update my personal store soon, but I am going to spin up my own #nostr relay so it will be more stable. Had someone send money into a black hole because a relay timed out.

At some point I will probably also update the store to DM me the secret *before* having the person send money. That way this can't happen again, regardless of any timeouts. I think the personal nostr notification already happens after payment, so that should already be good.

I like the loop.

I'd prefer more rounded corners, though.

I agree rounded corners would make it look better.

This case doesn’t fit on the square cased ones?

I'll see what I can do.

The case is currently just barely bigger than the electronics, so there's not any material to take from the corners, but maybe I could make the faces bulge out more to get a more rounded appearance

Okay mates, I whipped together a model to see if it's what you had in mind. Here are pics of the old vs new.

It is thicker in order to get the curves:

I think that looks better

I'm going to print one out at super high quality (to get the curves as round as possible) and see what it looks like.

Fun fact: I tried rounding the corners just a tiny bit initially and the whole case peeled up and warped during printing. It'll be interesting to see how this one comes out now that I made it a little thicker and the curves more pronounced.

Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

That must have been interesting to see happen

Wow that’s a "big" difference for such a "little" change

Other than being chonky, it does look nice

Definitely

How does one backup a Signet?

(Also cool to see you have the USB/PS2 adapter for sale...)

Unlock the signet, in the client select Backup to file from the Device menu, Save. That file is encryoted and you can restore it to another device.

And the PS2 thing was mainly for me since I use Qubes and don't want to attach a USB keyboard to dom0. I just listed the extras for sale because they're a byproduct of custom hardware development and not doing anyone any good setting on my shelf.
