I will likely be using custodial options for Layers. I understand the risks.

I will not be using custodial for base layer. Self custody is self sovereignty. Lot of responsibility for the base layer

I have used this. But the management of inbound and outbound liquidity, plus fees, is not something I want as L2 payments experience.

Don’t get me wrong, it is the self sovereign path, superior in safety of funds than custodian. I bet people can be very successful with it.

For now, the cheapest and best option for me is custodian. I understand the risks of NYKNYC. I could be rugged at any time. Minimal funds on my custodian wallets.
