Welcome fellow musician! Glad to see you here. 👍🏻
Third post, trying a quick video upload. I’m playing an Irish fiddle tune I like called King of the Fairies… recorded on an iPhone with ocean views 🌊 I set up a wallet for zaps! If you like the video and want to help me test out the wallet, zap away! Super excited to try this out for the first time #plebchain #decentralized #music #introductions

Thank you friend! You’re a producer I see?
Well, I sing classical music, mostly with a professional ensemble. And I work with concert production, some recording and I teach music.
Back in the days I used to play keys in a band too, but now I’m back to my classical roots.
Very cool! I teach composition, compose, and freelance violin and viola in a few ensembles. Nice to find a place online without the corporate vibe…!
Agreed 👍🏻! I find it hard to convince other musicians to join, they’re all so caught up in Meta. I’ve been nostr only for about a year now.
I have an anon account on FB/Insta for managing SOME for the ensemble, but I never spend time there.
Totally know what you mean! I’m def super stuck on the networks I’ve built on meta for my work… feel like I have to post there every so often.
Nostr and Bitcoin is how musicians own their freedom. Big socials are ONLY good for reach, while locking you in and and cutting into your profit. Shitty deal if you ask me. Problem is, there’s never been a freedom solution for independent artists … until now.
On Nostr, we’re building the tools for you to run your own business, build your own brand, sell your own music, book your own shows, and stream your own concerts from any venue. No cuts. No gate keepers. No blood sucking banks.
Walled gardens are so … old news.
Stay tuned-str.
