Correct. Mandibles was a great book to describe this. Their power lies largely in our minds. In reality they are inefficient and much weaker then depicted. A lot can easily slip through the cracks.

i really would like to have ZERO radios
on one hand, they disrupt our biological clocks by shouting over the natural rhythms
on the other hand, when the X-100+ comes in the next 15 years no radio device is going to be working on the whole side of the planet where it struck, and likely it will get struck again and probably in the future the only radiation we will be dealing with will be the 1000x elevated stuff from the sun because the fields are undergoing a phase change
so i don't think it's smart to depend on them, and as for my network tech, i favor optical and put tin shielding around everything else because X ray pulses destroy ICs

you only need to study the material that you can find, Ben Davidson the Suspicious Observers guy is an obsessive collector of evidences and i'm quite certain that the next solar max is going to be lit, as in, blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes... that's about 10 years from now when that will really go max but the current max ends in about 2 years so things won't be so crazy after 2027 or so, for about 8 years, and then it will be on, and it's not gonna quit until probably 2050
