Fiat world...
I think I've missed the funny part.
For me it's just sad example that people mean nothing VS corporation.
Or am I missing some context here?
Tried to respond to you but responded to OP lol
You mean people mean nothing to the unions. They extort companies and drain their capital until layoffs are the only way to meet the demands. I like the guy's comment above that say if unions bought company stock, or otherwise invested, they would be incentivized to care about both the company and the people.
Potential answer maybe:
Some people are not grounded in the early union movements and so have no positive association s with unions. It was the boomers parents that fought in the streets for the right to unionize.
Most people whose impressions of unions have been formed over the last 50 yrs of union decay will view them negatively.
Unions decay into grift unless they commit to buy a capital position in business over time. Business doesn't want their capital or input though kek so meh.
Unions are no different to any other leftist/collectivist Institution - they are prone to ideological capture and leave behind their original goals whilst wearing them as a skinsuit and browbeating everyone how they’re for the little guy when in reality they form the same fascist symbiosis that Gov&Corps do where select insiders sell out those little guys that OP is worried about and pretend bleat about it whilst rolling around in cash.

Should I feel sorry for him?
