Well, it is like that.

The more relays, the slower the experience. I saw that most recommend between 5-15, depending on the quality of the relay. (There are paid relays, which are faster, cause less people are on them)

Yh, I would recommend you reading https://nostr.how/en/relays to understand it a bit more and get some good relays. Don’t way too much on it and as we here at Nostr are saying, have fun, stack sats and stay humble πŸ™πŸ» Hope you have a nice stay here buddy ❀️
