Not all the way through, but reading and it is amazing that Bitcoin hasn’t been mentioned yet, as it would solve 90% of the problems such a catastrophe would wreck on the characters lives. They can confiscate gold and halt access to bank accounts and cash but cannot do that to bitcoin.
