HOLY SHIT, THE TITANIC'S COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BROKE THE DAY BEFORE IT SANK

It was company policy for the people operating the equipment not to try and fix it and instead let a technician at shore do it

On this occasion they IGNORED this rule and spent 5 hours fixing it. If they had never have done that then the Titanic would have literally dropped off the face of the earth. No movie, nothing. We wouldn't even be able to find where it was in the ocean.
