Pretty sad no one made a "tv" series out of most Neal Stephenson books. So much empty crap being made while this kind of material sits on the shelf untouched.
That said, it's good someone didn't wokified it and made "their own version loosely based on a NS book", which is real danger nowadays.
Some things require an exeptional delicacy.
Remember when they said that no one can film the LoTR? It took some time and waited for someone with real understanding
At that time it was on the cutting edge what was possible and before 100% uncanny valey CGI era started. So yep, kind of a special point in time.
Today no Neal Stephenson books are a huge challenge for filmakers technically IMO.
That said he is still a nocoiner. I heard him comment on "bitcoin and crypto as a solution looking for a problem, when it comes to money. While he liked some non-money uses for the tech."
That's pretty disappointing not gonna lie. Maybe he needs to talk to someone like Lyn Alden to really get it? Dunno.
