mastodon has this. someone tried to force me to add alt-text to my photos for the blind. i refused.
if ai can add it for me, i don't mind.

If it’s optional and AI can help, that would be great. I want the least friction, but remember that anyone can lose vision, so not having a disability is no excuse for excluding people with them.
i agree. it wasn't that i didn't want to, it was the demand or the policing of it from an individual who wasn't even blind. of course, the name calling came after i said no.
if i knew i had that audience, i would have done it. i was sure i didn't.
