🇬🇧 The data is not good, but it is not necessary to hyperventilate and exaggerate about how bad it is:

1) In the first quarter of 2025, private employment recorded the second best data in Argentina's history: 11.2 million people occupied compared to 10.8 million in the first quarter of 2025 (the best data in history was in the previous quarter).

2) Since the third quarter of 2023, private employment has grown by 310,000 people and the public has fallen by 447,000.

3) Total employment is above the first quarter of 2023 (peronism): 13.25 million versus 13.19 million.

As I say, what has been negative is the specific evolution of this first quarter of 2025. But, despite this, there is more private employment than at any other time (except the previous quarter). It is well that the focus is on this bad evolution of this quarter; it is wrong that it is intended to be confused by suggesting that Argentine employment is at one of the worst moments of recent years.

1) En el primer trimestre de 2025, el empleo privado registró el segundo mejor dato de la historia de Argentina: 11,2 millones de personas ocupadas frente a 10,8 millones en el primer trimestre de 2023 (el mejor dato de la historia fue en el trimestre anterior).

2) Desde el tercer trimestre de 2023, el empleo privado ha crecido en 310.000 personas y el público ha caído en 447.000.

3) El empleo total está por encima del primer trimestre de 2023 (peronismo): 13,25 millones versus 13,19 millones.

Como digo, lo que ha sido negativo es la evolución específica de este primer trimestre de 2025. Pero, a pesar de ello, hay más empleo privado que en cualquier otro momento (salvo el trimestre anterior). Bien está que se ponga el foco en esa mala evolución de este trimestre; mal está que se pretenda confundir sugiriendo que el empleo argentino está en uno de los peores momentos de los últimos años.
