The first part of the lockdown didn't have an impact on the village. It was before the season, and you don't usually run into many people unless you're there on purpose.

There were still some curious incidents: gendarmerie patrolled the roads to fine anyone who went out for a walk (even alone), the same thing happened at the seaside or in the mountains. So, for walks, you shouldn't hang around along the roads; you felt like you were being searched for.

Then the season started, the restaurants were closed until they introduced the vaccination pass. There were also few changes in the villages. There were those who were vaccinated and those who weren't. It didn't create any tension, everyone did as they pleased, but again, you had to be careful with the checks, and a lot of fake papers appeared.

And even though we were on an island with, in principle, no way to get in, people arrived almost every day, most of them also with false reasons, coming from various regions to reach their second homes.

In short, I remember a strange period where we had to live as usual while keeping our distance from others and hiding from the gendarmerie.
