Replying to Avatar Privacy Is Dignity

Same, it's frustrating as hell. When I say I'm on Signal and to catch me there, they're like "Oh...don't worry, I'll just SMS you". 🤦

I'm having to install WhatsApp soon because the sheep are too stupid. I'm trying to keep it private -- GrapheneOS, use a VPN, use a fake name, and deny all permissions except to receive messages & calls.

They have no idea how much trouble I'm having to go to, all because they won't use a private messaging app.

It's pretty insane yes... And the mentality "I have nothing to hide I'm not a criminal, so I don't care" is very strong.

Sometimes I just want to delete them, and if they can't reach me anymore well, too bad... Just like I did with Twitter but that was people I didn't know IRL.

It's a bit extreme I'm still not ready for that I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have all important personal contacts on SimpleX. Then I have around 250 people on Signal that are not that close, but also not strangers.

Usually people already use between 2 and 4 messengers. Cut ties with people that can not be bothered to protect their conversation with you. Their neglect will harm you. It's a form of passive aggression and abuse. Time to face that we need to ressonate with people to accomplish our lives.
