🌊 SURF 'N TURF 🏝️

-THE BITCOIN ISLAND LIFE-

Banana Plants are not trees, but rather large herbs. They are often mistaken for trees or palms because of their size and tropical appearance.

No woody trunk: Banana plants don't have a woody trunk like a tree. Instead, their trunks are made of tightly wrapped layers of leaves.

Herbaceous perennials: Botanically, banana plants are classified as herbaceous perennials, meaning they can live for many years.

Fast-growing: Banana plants can grow to be 10–20 feet tall in just one year.

Tropical plants: Banana plants are tropical plants that can add a tropical feel to gardens.

Can be grown indoors: Banana plants can be grown as houseplants if they get enough light, but they rarely flower or produce fruit.

I thought they were a grass, like a bamboo.

Bamboo is a grass yes. Bananas however are a different species and slow have fruit, unlike grasses. I agree though that there are many common misconceptions about these.

Even though I have bananas on my homestead, I am still learning myself. 🧡
