How about you let people zap without charging them a subscription fee that needs a KYC’d card purchase?

Are you talking about nostr script? I agree, it’s amazing. It is a great solution, but for a very different audience.
I can still zap people on Damus. Just need to zap a profile and not a specific comment. On Current, unless I’m missing something, I have basically lost access to the zap capability completely unless I Apple Pay the $3.99 for the Amped level.
It’s not a big deal. I only had 87 sats on the platform. But please let me know if I’m just ignorant (very possible) or if I really can’t send zaps/access those sats unless I pay/upgrade for Amped.
Oh I get what you are saying. The comparison is a little difficult, because Apple did not only have an issue with the Zaps, but also with the wallet itself. They wouldn’t allow us to keep it active for profile zaps either.
However you can always access your funds and sweep your sats using the payment settings without the Amped subscription. All you need is another Lightning address to receive them on.
