This fee environment will be a test for some bitcoin-only companies. Those that subsidize on-chain fees for their users’ withdrawals will likely have to start charging.

Absolutely, that too.

But many will want to stack and move to cold storage, LN doesn’t help that use case.

#[3]​ seems well positioned here since: They’ve got pretty substantial lightning nodes and already require users to pay for their own on-chain withdrawals.
