The nuance you are missing about #cashu is that the mints make a token of ownership that can sit on any protocol- e.g. liquid bitcoin. Liquid federation has different trade offs to Lightning.

Thanks for the idea. I'm trying to make sure I'm straight, so I went back and clicked through lconf.gandlaf.com/#/4 at https://lconf.gandlaf.com/#/4 and through to "bearer token" /#21. So, you're saying that whomever holds the "bearer token" can redeem it on #cashu or #liquid or maybe #fedimint or even any other thing or protocol. (?) I understand that the bearer token is just proof-of-money, so to speak, so anyone or any protocol might be willing to accept because it has provable value. Am I thinking right?

I'm happy to add something to this effect to http://nostrwiki.crrdlx.infinityfreeapp.com/doku.php?id=wiki:ecash-and-cashu (or you could edit it too...it's a wiki 😉), I just wanna be as accurate as possible.
