Block, the payments firm led by Jack Dorsey, has launched an open beta test for its Bitkey self-custodial Bitcoin wallet. Users can now securely transfer Bitcoin from Coinbase or CashApp without the hassle of 'copy and paste.' The beta features unique interfaces with both services.

Previously accessible only to its own workers, Block is now inviting the general public to test their hardware and software through the open beta program. This announcement led to a nearly 4% increase in SQ, the company's trading symbol on NYSE.
