Neither are exotic earthquake machines and orbital superlasers. NASA can barely launch a rocket for anything less than a billion dollars. I have a hard time believing they could build anything all sci-fi.

Their mandate is to ride the doller hegemony into the dirt and extract as much wealth as they can from us serfs until the music stops.
