Wonder why the mainstream media in Hawaii is not talking about the larger number of casualties? Even if they said it was for example “possibly in the hundreds to thousands?” or whatever the majority of on the ground locals think?

Are big helicopters (military) bringing in food and aid?

On the ground aid all over the place? (Military for example)

Just asking.

Because it’s difficult to even estimate.

Locals are doing so through coconut wireless, but people are quite literally ashes. It’s very difficult to have any idea yet.

Very little of the damaged area has been combed through. The local news is reporting the verified numbers being announced by authorities.

Hawaii doesn’t have a lot of resources. Cadaver dogs are on the islands are very few, there are extras are being brought from the mainland today.

Resorts in west Maui are helping to deliver resources like water and food to those trapped in west Maui, and I know coast guard and navy has helped deliver supplies using their equipment.

National guard is mobilized and command structure in place.

There are also a lot of other factors hampering efforts. For example, the other day when the roads were opened for access, people left the main road and ventured into Lahaina town without permission. This makes it difficult to trust people to leave the damaged areas alone as they still need to be searched for victims.

Prayers sent for everyone.
