There are many beliefs you can hold which are at any time deeply unpopular societally that will greatly enhance the quality of your life.

So if you’re always doing things that are ā€œnormalā€ or trying to fit in you’re always going to end up with substandard results and be left wondering why.

Greatness happens when you embrace that feeling and act on that extraordinary thought or idea. You are 100% correct. Average effort equals average results.

When maintain the facade of being the compliant university lecturer becomes too much to hide……. Time for me the exit, I’ve moved onto other things. šŸ«”šŸ™Œ

Everyone wants to be seen as special, yet most behave entirely within the norms, making them the opposite.

That's why I am trying to spread this knowledge as wide as possible into the German speaking space with my new podcast!

Which is why I'm currently exploring the Bible, on the road less traveled. My entire life I've been indoctrinated that religion is for retards. Well, much of it is quite positive, and in a world full of evil, debauchery, and sin, I'm enjoying the journey.

I'm also a couple chapters into Thank God for Bitcoin, and enjoying that as well. Not an endorsement, just sharing. Hoping the entire book is a solid read.

And in the end, we're all a little retarded.

šŸ’Æ For me, Bitcoin complemented my Christian faith.

That is great to here... it does seem that Christianity is based on a high time preference mentality, helping believers forego the lure of instant gratification (sex, sin, etc.) and focus on future wins (stronger marriage, healthier bodies, eventual heaven, etc.)

Anyway, thnx for sharing. I have a close Christian friend that I'm planning to fwd "Thank God for Bitcoin" if it proves to be solid read.

Which is why I enjoy conversing with my weekly JW visitors. Have you studied stoicism yet? Could be good to sprinkle in a little Marcus from time to time šŸ¤™

I have a good friend who is doing a deeper dive into stoicism. I know nothing about it, but will add it to the list... always seeking truth, self improvevent, and hopefully helping to make the world a better place. Peace to you.

Love your mindset, it shares many parallels and also aligns with those who value hard money. I think you’ll enjoy it as it’s another tool to have in the toolbox. ā€œHow to live like a Roman emperorā€ by Donald Robertson is a great resource to start and is my go to in times of need.

Excellent, thank you for the fwd! Will check it out.

What are some examples?

Believing the government and it’s institutions are fundamentally good and act toward your best interests

Should be ā€œitsā€ stupid autocorrect

Also this is the ā€œnormalā€ belief just to be clear šŸ˜…

I wish I could properly convey just how unpopular bitcoin was in 2015. My friends at work made fun of me. A woman in IT accused me of being a druggie.

100% of net worth in bitcoin is a perfect example, but there are many

This will trigger many normies.. imagine how old Peter Schiff feels about this… it’s GOLD Hodl.. 🤣🤣

You can have your entire networth in Gold too ... Diversification is for the dumb gamblers !

Drink milk

Eat once

Pray the lord

Deeply unpopular :-)

like buying up real estate because ā€œthat’s what you’re supposed to do when you have moneyā€

This as I consider committing to going carnivore. I’ve been a glutard for 20 years, made me less sick and less normal, grain free, again blew minds of those around me, some quite angry by my antics. I rent out half my home and work from wherever, that pisses many off as they think I’m constantly on vacation. When I mention anything regarding stacking sats friends heads nearly explode and cannot comprehend…being normal sucks, avoid at all costs to continue to improve happiness and health!

Like living a life optimized for alignment with your personal goals and values over the externally programmed goal of maximizing happiness and well-being for the most people, even when it means sacrificing the former?

Are there really "many" such beliefs at any given time?

If anything, there are a "few" such beliefs, and it takes a great deal of knowledge and insight (of how the world actually works in the context of "conventional" knowledge) to find which ones.

Otherwise you're unemployable, living in a cabin in the woods, and drinking your pee because you think that's going to save you from the Flat Earth Alien Crystals in the Deep State.

I think you only need to go deep and reexamine things that make you happy healthy or wealthy because those are all important. Everything else is kinda whatever.

Could not agree more

Hi HODL šŸ˜‰šŸ¤ŸšŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø True growth comes from questioning the status quo. The most successful and fulfilled people often embrace ideas that society dismisses until they’re proven right. Conformity might feel safe, but it rarely leads to greatness.

This hits hard! Society’s ā€˜normal’ is often just a comfort zone for the masses. The most transformative ideas (and lives) start as unpopular’ just ask Galileo, Tesla, or anyone who dared to think differently. What’s one ā€˜unpopular’ belief you hold that’s changed your life.

I was homeschooled and religious as a child, as an adult I've mentally worked my way through:

1: Religious belief

2: FIAT belief

3: Nationalist belief

4: Woke belief

I'm about as far from normal as possible at this point lol. Kinda lonely, but also very freeing. Life is full of possibilities and potential, I look forward to the future more than ever before.

i know you’re talking about socks - but i still don’t get it.

Like how we should all stop paying property taxes lol

Yup, if you do the same thing as everyone else, you get the same results. Aim to be exceptional. To be exceptional, you have to do exceptional things.

What are some of your best examples of this in your own life?

One for me was: intelligence is pretty much the best predictor of success. Therefore only hire smart people and you can use all the typical ā€œevilā€ stereotypes and prejudices as a pretty good proxy for intelligence.

When the truth is no longer hidden from the herd, the herd will start hiding them selves from the truth.

Accept the truth, take off the blindfolds and start navigating as a sovereign sailor.
