Totally, I erase my folders all the time, heck, erasing git history and all sorts of dysfunctional files.
Not only mine, not unusually to erase and delete all sorts of data files, in fact deleting files that I don’t actually own is more common than deleting my own now that I think about it.
That’s why they are there for.
But I don’t destroy though.
