met one two weeks just that way. except he was asking for work. I helped him find some local resources. he finally scored temp shelter a couple nights ago and is off the streets. good dude, down on his luck and has grit and gratitude and willing to put in the work. I happily meet that vibe halfway.

timeworkair if you wanna check him out

Is that someone on Nostr or Youtube or something ?

that's him, on nostr

That's brilliant. I know a lot of homeless people actually , and they are lovely people , but hard sometimes to be around , comes with the territory .

I know it won't solve all of their problems , but I definelty think that Bitcoin could improve homeless peoples quality of life , you know , with the idea mentioned above where people send zaps for a quick sandwich or for the hostel or whatever, but also , I imagine it isn't exactly easy for homeless peoplet to keep access to their bank accounts and stuff like that . I imagine that the banks don't like you opening an account when you're homeless and Bitcoin doesn't care if you're homeless , so it'll be interesting to see where this develops from here.

That was a good thing you did for that person , you treated them with a little bit of dignity. Don't get me wrong , I know a few homeless people and they are ignorant pieces of shit. You got to assess people individually isn' that true ?

absolutely. I asked questions or gave lil directions then when he checked back in and had done it, it was proof of work to me. after a couple of days, I called a hostel directly and got him a room for two night so he could shower and actually sleep. kept checking in. he turned down fentanyl mult times. again...proof of work. ain't easy to not numb when you're down on your luck. kept showing up in line for shelter at 6am everyday. .. pow. i'm really rooting for him.
