i don’t believe ossification is meaningful until you’ve got 100x the number of regular users, using bitcoin regularly/running a node, than the number of bitcoin-twitter/nostr power users and developers.

ossification occurs when bitcoin users, miners and builders are so diverse/distributed that it’s practically impossible to communicate a change, or get ppl to lift a finger.

it doesn’t occur by us agreeing ‘changes’ are too risky now

but i do believe in the ‘mexican wave’; where if a something is important enough, and understood by almost all, that you can align everyone to take a certain action even in anarchy.
