Prediction: Australia will be the first Western country to completely do away with cash. Banks here are already stopping providing cash at branches or closing them outright.

That sucks I thought Sweden was way ahead of you guys to honest. Here they are still closing all the bank branches so there are way less cash machines, but there seems to be bit of resurgence of cash recently especially after all bank account closures etc.

Sweden could well be ahead, it just seems to be accelerating here quickly. We have only 7% cash use now and I think they can see that as an opportunity.
