I think that this can also be done in ways that are even more efficient than with ai. But we haven't found the method yet.
True. Facebook, BlueSky, Twitter are communities based around user-generated content — they’re simply using AI to curate that content. I don’t think this model will survive in the next true iteration of the Web, when we do find the “method”.
One way or another, simple user-generated content, which is the backbone of social media, is not the end game. It will be a quaint thing of the past
