Late night pondering đź’

In my work, I’ve noticed a rapidly growing demand for psychological diagnoses — especially neurodevelopmental conditions.

It’s hard to know how much of this is thanks to a welcome rise in awareness and acceptance of mental well-being, and how much might be influenced by the demands of modern life — constant stimuli, relentless change, immediate digital distractions, and a pace that rarely lets us catch our breath.

Children who move at a different rhythm are quickly labelled as “too much” or “hard to handle”.

Perhaps now more adults, too, are seeking diagnoses as a way to make sense of why they struggle in a system that asks more than it should.

It seems clear that most kids don't have ADHD, but have a nature and outside play time deficit disorder (with way too much screentime/indoor time making it worse)

Plenty of sunshine, grounding, and consuming healthy food and water fixes so many issues

Other apsects of your post made me think of this meme..

I completely agree - very skeptical of so many children being labelled as having something wrong with them when maybe the environment they’re in is the actual issue🫣 meme is spitting facts 💯
