Long transitions are the worst. It kills more purchasing power of the people, and can wipe out a life time of saving. If it happens faster, lots of people still would have time to accumulate again.

It is unfortunate actually, because you lose by doing nothing and being "uneducated". So they lose by doing nothing. They only way would be that the people realize as soon as possible what is the hardest asset then fiat.
The only way for what? I’m thinking there is no way to avoid wealth transfer from the slow to realize to the fast because “slow” and “fast” are inherently relative. The first half in will gain assets from the last half. No way around it I think except for the first half giving their gains away to the last half
