In all fairness though Ross did hire a man to kill his partner, paid that man, and didn’t know until after he had been showed doctored photos of his “dead” partner that the assassination had not taken place. This is, and should be illegal. What sentence is appropriate? Is it the same as killing someone yourself?
Discussion
I’m not that familiar with the case, but I know who the criminals are.
I’m sure Ross feels bad about the choices he made, and frankly I don’t think he is a menace to society who should be incarcerated. That being said, he did pay to have someone killed over money. That’s a fact.
For the poor choices he made, he has already spent 10 years in prison.
There were thankfully no actual victims of the murder for hire scams; and spending a life sentence for enabling a free market is way out of proportion.
It feels it was a result of the harsh #Warondrugs mentality of the times, but now that there are legalized dispensaries in most states, the reasons to keep him behind bars are less and less convincing…
