Instead, I bought bitcoin for them everytime I bought some for myself, and set it aside for them

I'd say keep at it... Was in the same boat not too long ago and finally convinced my dad... He's enjoyed this nice run up and will be buying more
I rather them not have to deal with the psychological stress of it all, they are getting up there in age, and I don't want them to worry
