genuine dumb question...

if we have 1 nostr

why do we need / create so many different clients?

wouldn't it be better to focus the devs on a few rather then a lot?

Competition. Companies will form around clients and crystalize into a handfull significant "killer-app" clients and an ocean of niche-clients.

Y. This will further divide the power and centralization so that the whole system stays decentralized and impossible to manipulate.

Nostrgram has a lot more features than Damus for example, but one is for mobile and one better for desktop- good to have choices! They inspire each other
