Markdown is a great example, last time I used WhatsApp it supportet markdown for *inverse* text iirc, although there was no button or interface for it at that time (or I missed that).

So basicly you can build a lot of things even in the most Normie-friendly apps without shying anyone away - they have irc-style things in them which is really old, what can we expect from nostr?
