I’m talking about the entire Bitcoin movement - the code, the origin, the media, the influencoors, the conferences especially, and the market price.

Except ordinals. Those seem like a challenge by a competing state actor (Israel?).

And it should be noted that none of what I’m saying discourages me from holding Bitcoin as a primary reserve asset. I just think it’s worthwhile to be honest about who we’re in bed with.

Based. I get the concerns. I'm actually more concerned over the intentional lack of privacy in bitcoin, especially after what happened with Samouri. It's pushed me towards #Monero for that reason.

Monero is another good data point. Objectively better privacy, and amazingly for some reason no one wants to put it in an ETF 🤔 oh and devs go missing etc

Fwiw it could be argued that a public ledger for large balances is a feature not a bug. Holding exchanges accountable has been a nice feature during this early adoption period. Holding nation states accountable for their holdings might be in the future as well. I’m not 100% sold but it’s at least a thought.
