Good luck paying with exact change using gold.
It completely fails as a medium of exchange. You'll almost always pay over spot to buy it and receive under spot to sell it.
Assuming you don't get swindled by a chunk with a tungsten core.
It’s just an ancient rock, nothing special about it, except being used in some tacky jewelry.
