i actually have no idea, but i enjoy speculating on motives in situations like this.
they would have to believe it will benefit them. and the benefit would either be profit, or someone has leverage on all of them. profit seems more likely. could it be as simple as they think they know something about stable coins that hasnt happened yet, but they’re sure enough it’s going to they re-positioned themselves?

i would lean toward they know something that is coming in the unholy triad of government, ai, and stablecoins.
but to exit entirely suggests they believe something spooky, or were threatened.
if it were 1 or even 2 i could believe they just wanted anted out. but 3-5… something is going down behind the scenes.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but we only know they are exiting a specific address entirely. No idea what other addresses are theirs. I know people with .1 bitcoin that have 10 different wallets. I’d guess many wales have multiple wallets as well.

The 84k through galaxy digital was a full exit. Then the person that has reported on the others has tracked these whales for a while so he has multiple linked addresses for them. They seem to be exiting all the ones he had linked
You know a lot more about this than me so I’d guess you have better insight. In the end, whenever long held bitcoin is distributed to new addresses it makes me smile. Wales selling is a station along the road of global adoption.
