Watching social media companies being questioned in front of the senate highlighted two things.

- All social media platform is basically a surveillance/espionage tool at its core.

- The difference between the political right and libertarian is made clear. Right wing conservatives want censorship, moderation, governance, libertarains just want freedom.

To that end, most of the conversation then boils down to two point, US based social media should do more to report/censor users activity, Non-US based social media should be banned in the US because of the same reason.
