The Wachowskis are actually the WHOLE franchise creator.
To be fair, just one of them agreed on doing the 4th and seems that it will be the same thing with the 5th.
Now... that is a not excuse to diss a movie IMO.
You should watch Sense8 on netflix to see what they are capable of
