I always snack late at night when my daughter is in bed and wife is working night shift. Catching up on bitcoin vids/socialmedia but keep slipping up with snacking on junk.
Any techniques you know about to help with this?
Thanks

Wake up in the morning with the determination of not snacking. Whenever you think of any way of snacking possible during the day, make sure you halt & think about that thought. Make sure to fight it away & say "no" to the fought, every single time with big dedication.
Once it gets late, you *actively* prepare to not snack.
That means, you create a final meal, for example a salad without dressing & testify, that this will be the absolutely last meal for the day, because after that you'll be saturated & won't need anything else to eat, because you simply don't need it. You already ate that delicious salad, that saturated you more than enough.
Once it gets late, you *actively* are on the watch & stay guarded against snack thoughts. Just as during the day, as soon as you sniff the thought of a snack, halt right there & fight this thought. Tell "no" to the thought. Fight it off with all your mental weapons.
If you feel like giving in, you have to abort the operation & go to bed, whether you like it or not. You cannot snack in bed, because you would dirty it then & you cannot do that to your wife.
Then, be happy, about your determination you have put into this. Tomorrow it will be much easier to fight it off.
In a longer while, you won't have to fight it off, it will eventually just automatically happen or these desires won't appear, in the first place.
Be grateful to yourself for what you do for your daughter.
Every unhealthy snack you don't eat is another minute prolonging your life, in which you can spend another minute with your daughter, since every second is precious with her. You never know, when paths split up in lives, so you have to cherish every moment, every opportunity to spend time & life with your family.
Yes, In theory you should drink half your body weight in oz of water daily. For exemple, if you weight 200lbs, you should drink 100 oz of water.
Your brain often confuse dehydration to hunger. Try to drink your daily intake of water and you should be less hungry for snacks.
At first you will go urinate a lot but your bladder will adapt!
Hope this will work for you. For me it worked wonders. Lost 6lbs already in 2 weeks by drinking water and cutting snacks.
