Isn’t in mind-bending how hard it is for human beings as a species to learn efficiently?

We keep swinging like monkeys in every direction over-course-correcting everything.

From collectivist communities to nuclear families, from hunter gatherers nature to table diet to poison “food”, from money as key to opportunities to money as a slow death sentence, from war to wokeness.

We’re brilliant being as individuals but goddamn are we terrible are progressing together in the right direction more or less consistently - in a gradient descent fashion or “gradient ascent”, for us, hopefully.
