I really hope https://www.spark.money/ wins this battle.

This article is very good: https://www.forbes.com/sites/christiancatalini/2025/09/05/stripes-tempo-and-the-ghost-of-facebooks-libras-past/

I've been saying for a couple of years that they likely will, but I do not think this is good for Bitcoin. While their talent and treasure chest are impressive, they've baked every flavor of KYC and chain analysis imaginable into their products. They are not in it for the freedom.

Yes, but this is for the "regulated" part of the company, the one that deal with banks and fiat money. Spark on the other hand, is an opensource technology.

Spark, yes. Study Microsoft's "Embrace, Extend, Extinguish" strategy. And let's see where Lightspark goes.

Remember, that the Spark code is opensource and new entities could create a spark federation even without Lightspark company.

Why would you want to support a platform that enabled their bullshit when you have entire other protocols and platforms to pick from like ark and stuff?

Why pick Ark when you already have Spark? But let's see what people will choose.

Why pick Spark, shitass?

One important difference is that Ark BTC carries less counterparty risk than Spark BTC.

Different tradeoffs for sure. Anyone can pick what is best for them.

And in my case, I'm ok with Spark.

When you support AMD's various open source technologies, you support AMD significantly even if you also support anything else built with it.

Ok, I disagree with all these arguments. Will stop here.

What, you don't like AMD? I think it's a fine company myself.

my preference is amd and radeon also, because omg intel ok what now. 10% nationalized. nvidia, whould youstopfuckingsaying that? every day i read the fucking word nvidia and i always hated nvidia, and nobody should be surprised because it means envy.

Yeah NVIDIA is and always has been evil. And Intel is incompetent and evil too. Has been dependent on government privilege and complacent for a long time.

As far as we can orient and decide we will always want Spark to be an unopinionated, permissionless, neutral settlement layer.

Open source is not **always** pro freedom.

Opensource is always opensource, haha

Ok fed.
