True LLMs are bad at maths.

They don’t really generate new knowledge, they just compile existing knowledge.

They can come up with new things though. They have discovered that if you teach a LLM to code, it will learn English as a byproduct. So it can draw its own conclusions and potential insights could be found by the right prompts.
