For anyone new… zaps are super, super easy to set up on your nostr account.

You can download the Wallet Of Satoshi on the App Store.

When you open the app you will see there is only one screen (plus a settings tab) and that screen is your wallet address. It has a large QR code and a @youraddress underneath it, these are the links to your wallet.

On your nostr profile click on edit, go to lnurl or lightning address, add your wallet of satoshi @youraddress, be sure to scroll down and click save.

You can now zap and be zapped!

Buy bitcoin on bitcoin only ramps like Cashapp, Swan, or Strike and send some to your new wallet of satoshi wallet for zap funds!

Better yet create some value, share it and get zapped. Bitcoin, peer to peer ftw! 🫂🦚

Or in other words, it is critical that you take custody of your bitcoin.

That means it is very important to take your bitcoin off of exchanges and into your own personal digital wallet so only you control and have access to your savings.

Bitcoin is revolutionary due in part to your unparalleled ability to store and secure your time and energy spent in exchange for value.

This is super important and only possible by taking the bitcoin off of exchanges and into your own custody. It’s easy and valuable to learn. If the proper precautions are taken, you should never or if ever very rarely ever have to worry about securing your savings ever again.

You can easily deposit into your savings by generating an address to your wallet, via QR code or copy and paste, (double check your addresses, can always send a small amount first as a test).

No one can access your account through your receiving address beyond sending the address bitcoin.

There are great teachers out there available on YouTube. My favorite is btc sessions.

Unfortunately there are massive incentives in the legacy system to obstruct bitcoin. So please be careful and critical of your teachers and there advice. A common saying in bitcoin “Don’t trust verify”.
