The reason you had those kinds of homes in Victorian era is BECAUSE you didn’t have mass production. It was inefficient and most people didn’t live in those kinds of residences. What you are thinking of is a romanticized version from movies. Most people lived in dirty cheap shanties and wooden boxes. Mass production actually enabled the average person to afford a quality home. It IMPROVED standards and elevated quality of life.
It’s cookie cutter houses everywhere popping like mushrooms. People are so fucking poor that they can’t afford anything better and force themselves to call the wooden planks on a 0.1 acre property home.
