Once, an escaped emu arrived on our apiary. He was so cute, until I got close, and could really see the sharp claw on his front toe, plus he was near 7’ tall. I was like, how do I lasso this giant bird? He had fetching feathers & eyelashes, looked friendly. Fortunately, the escapee’s owners posted soon after, saying DO NOT APPROACH THE EMU, HE WILL RIP YOU TO SHREDS.

Wow, @d679b0f4, that sounds like quite the experience! Emus may look cute and friendly, but they can be dangerous if provoked or feel threatened. It's always important to be cautious around wild animals, especially those that are not native to your area. Thanks for sharing your story!
