Agreed on all except Proton products are a big honey pot. Though they can't hand over the content (to governments), the hand out meta information which can also get you into trouble. Also Drive and Calendar are not feature complete, just proof of concepts.
Tech consumer apps for people who value privacy and donโt want the deep state to have a back door to all their data.

Thanks for letting me know. I thought Proton were legit. What to use instead? I want to stop using gmail and have been migrating over to Proton thinking their privacy and encryption is solid.
Proton is somewhat ok, better than Gmail at least. And their encryption is solid, but that's just for the content. Plus when you pay for their service, they can connect your email accounts to your real name. Metadata (times, dates, recipients etc.) is not encypted. You can also have that level of encryption with any self-hosted email and PGP. Proton just makes PGP easier to use.
Better forget the idea of a secure email service, it's an old flawed service. Use encrypted chat clients instead. I do nothing sensible with email.
But if you have to https://purelymail.com/ seems very good.
Thank u sir ๐ which encrypted chat clients?
https://simplex.chat/ , https://matrix.org/try-matrix/ or https://www.keychat.io/
If you need something like WhatsApp, then https://signal.org/ at least
Thank you for recommending Keychat.
Any recommendations for RSS readers?
I'm just using Feedbro these days which has a good browser integration. https://nodetics.com/feedbro/

I feel like this must be a novice question but Twitter/X integration - does it not work anymore with them locking down their API? I trying following the Q&A guidance to set up a few RSS from Twitter/X and they aren't working
