Iโ€™m considering starting a little Nostr-only side hustle to help people get access to non-KYC sats.

Process would be simple:

1. Send me fiat via PayPal

2. I withdraw the cash and go buy bitcoin at the post office

3. I send you the bitcoin, taking a 2% fee in SATS.

Thinking Iโ€™d only do $500 and below at a time - for several reasons.

Trust would be key.

If youโ€™re interested, send me an email to 88sats@proton.me and we can discuss!

Also if you have any ideas to reduce the amount of reliance on trust, let me know!

Check out robosats, hodlhodl & bisq. Decentralized anonymous peer to peer solutions for what you're wanting to do! ๐Ÿ‘

Yes these are all great options for experienced bitcoiners! Iโ€™ve used all except HodlHodl

Bisq shut down on me though. Iโ€™m no longer able to open the app on my Mac.

Have talked to others who experienced the same thing recently!

Where can you buy bitcoin with cash from a post office?

In Canada thru Bull Bitcoin

Wild.

In US through Bisq too

More private and safe (anonymous) for everyone involved

Sounds cool! You can buy โ‚ฟ at the post office?

Yeah Bull Bitcoin launched the service this summer!

So you would be a personal exchange? Interesting.

Just for my Nostr amigos.

Love this!

It would definitely work.

At a very small scale obviously.

But it would give everyone on here (especially Americans) access to easy and quick non-KYC #bitcoin

Iโ€™d have to figure out how to help people in other countries do it. The initial cash transfer might be tough.

I dont suppose you could take Cashapp or Venmo instead of Paypal? Dont know what yall have in Canada.

Good question.

Cash app is a no. But Iโ€™d have to look into Venmo!

No dice on Venmo. ๐Ÿ˜”

Bummer, but i think i can resurrect my old paypal acct. I'll look.

This needs an escrow process embedded in it. This fixes the trust element just a little bit.

Yeah if it were to scale.

But this would just be for my pals on Nostr who want nonKYC sats.

Very interesting idea

Two customers today.

Weโ€™re gonna giver a go!
