if this is to be taken at face value, let me give you a life hack, there is a tree that dedicates the production of its bark to absolutely turn all ants away - needed for the survival of the tree. We use the bark of that tree to make cinammon.

SOOoooo, if you want nature's way of keeping ants out, just pour cinammon on their trails. They will hate you for it and you can begin winning the war!

Thanks! Today I learned!

That's all we can do, one fact at a time! 💪

Thanks for the zap, this makes giving out info even MORE fun! :D

haha i suddenly became paranoid i was giving you a wive's tale and not a "fact" (ya know, verify, don't trust...). Google's answer made me chuckle:

Cinnamon is often regarded as an effective DIY ant control option. It is believed that cinnamon acts as a natural repellent because ants cannot stand the smell. Also, if an ant inhales cinnamon, it can suffocate and die. Ground cinnamon can be sprinkled on an ant's pathway for them to inhale.

SUFFOCATE AND DIE, ANTS!!

Odd, it didn't mention the bark-of-tree thing. Guess that's "in the details"...

and now mythbusters somewhat raining on my parade...

ok - i now fell down the ant rabbit-hole, or is that just an "ant-hill"?

Sooo many different anecdotal ways of killing ants, but indeed people seemed to be having success with cinnamon over and over again.

I would go for it! Keep us informed - for science's sake :D
